Diving is something that cannot be described in words. The feeling of weightlessness, the sensation of breathing underwater is something you need to experience for yourself.

SNBSAC have access to a heated pool in Towcester on Monday evenings. Most weeks there are try-dives going on for people who want to give it a go. Some go on to complete a course, and some just want the experience. There is no obligation to complete a diving course just by coming for a try-dive.
A try-dive lasts about one hour, during which time you'll learn all about the scuba unit, underwater conduct, finning, breathing - and you'll get almost an hour underwater. All for just a measly £10!! So what's stopping you?
We can give some first hand experience of the sport, before you go on your holidays.
There is no (reasonable) minimum age for a try-dive, however you need to be a confident swimmer. There is a minimum age of 14 for an actual BSAC diving course.
An evening try dive consists pool side tuition, explaining what a 'scuba' unit it, how to assemble it, enter the water and do certain exercises.
Try-divers are always invited to the pub after the session to 'debrief'.
